We’ve trained hundreds of community members in bleeding control, teaching them how to recognize life-threatening hemorrhage and take action with tourniquets and wound packing. These skills are simple to learn but make all the difference in emergencies.
Beyond community trainings, we’ve brought in brain surgeons, emergency physicians, and other professionals to speak with our members. We connect students to mentorship, shadowing, and hands-on opportunities so they can grow in the field of emergency medicine while building lasting networks.
Our founding chapter has delivered over 1,000 doses of Narcan to the community, along with hands-on training so people know exactly when and how to use it. By putting this medication in more hands, we’re giving bystanders the ability to reverse opioid overdoses and save lives before help arrives.
